Capacity Building

The thrust of the aim and objectives of the Society is towards capacity building of youth from urban slums and rural areas to make them capable educationally and mentally to compete the youth who have access to resources and thereby achieve their goals and dreams which they may have cherished.

Towards this end, the Society has been conducting a number of programmes which inter alia include:

Life Skill Education Camps

The camps are of one week duration. During the camp, the participants who are youth from rural areas, are given exposure to broad areas of life skills, thinking skills, social skills and negotiating skills.

Youth Leadership and Personality Development Programmes

The camps were of two weeks duration and the participants were youth from rural areas. During the camps the youth are trained for one week in leadership and like skills and one week on vocational/capacity building, project management, accounting, physical education and cultural activities

Vocational Training as per National Council for Vocation Training

The Society proposes to conduct Vocational Training Programmes in association with reputed private institutions to school drop outs so that after training they can be gainfully self employed. The programme will be run under overall supervision of the former IT head of National level PSU.

Right to Information Awareness

In keeping with its objectives, the Society is operating a Right to Information Centre at its premises at Basti Vikas Kendra, Garhi, East of Kailash. The centre is run under overall supervision of the retired Officer from Central Vigilance Commission. Here the applicants are helped from where and what information they should obtain in regard to their rights.
